March 25: Våffeldagen (International Waffle Day)
Today is a SWEDISH holiday!!! It is waffle day (våffeldagen)! It coincides with the Feast of Annunciation, but Swedes are no longer very religious (generally) and now just celebrate the beginning of spring. They eat waffles because there is now an abundance of milk and eggs with springtime. I wish I was in Stockholm eating waffles with jam, but my eggos are an acceptable replacement.
