In between volunteering, packing, and attending a SWEA lunch I learned a bit about fibromyalgia.
It is a syndrome causing body-wide pain in the joints, muscles, tendons, etc. It also manifests as fatigue, sleep problems and headaches.
It is most common in women ages 20-50.
Treatment can only be done to make symptoms more manageable with PT, exercise, and stress relief mechanisms.
Sinead O’Connor has fibromyalgia.
