Towel Day is a tribute to Douglas Adams, the author of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Fans are supposed to carry a towel all day because it is the most useful thing when time traveling. You can use it for warmth, shelter, defense, and transportation. Although I have never read the book, I enjoyed embarrassing Bailey by carrying a towel as we ran errands at Redbox, Fleet Farm, and the Dollar Tree.
